until Exam 2. You've got this.

Your set

4 traps
  1. Units. λ and μ in the same unit. Answers usually want minutes.
  2. Rounding. Don't round mid-problem. A few units off? Pick the closest.
  3. Balance sheets. Only the two CURRENT rows.
  4. Currency. Check which way the rate goes.

Drop break

A drop break pops up every 10 minutes or 10 questions.

Built for your brain
  • Quizzes page: every lesson's Math quiz and Concept quiz, your missed + guessed pile, and the final quiz.
  • 5 questions at a time. Every answer explains itself, step by step.
  • How sure were you? Guessed or missed questions come back in Recall and the quizzes.
  • Hint is a nudge. I'm stuck explains the idea in plain English, plus a festival version.
  • Stuck on a question? Help pops up on its own. 2 misses in a row? You get a quick refresher.
  • Aa · Reading sets text size, letter spacing and page tint. Read aloud reads it to you.

Know your prof

Hitendra Chaturvedi, Professor of Practice. He founded GreenDust (a reverse-logistics startup) and wrote the 5 Rs framework himself. Reverse logistics is his specialty, so don't skip Lesson 6.

His recurring talking points: COVID as "one small pebble in the pond" that created a ripple effect (= bullwhip). On 2025 tariffs he said Walmart, Target and Amazon would feel it first and ship arrivals at LA/Long Beach were down ~35%.

The syllabus says exams test lecture content and are built around the study guide. His slides literally list "Possible Questions". Those are all covered in the lessons.

No overlap with Exam 1

The syllabus says Exam 2 = Modules 5–8 only (Exam 1 was 1–4). Everything here is 5–8. Lessons 1–7 use the prof's own problem-set numbers, which you've seen. Lesson 8 uses new numbers so you can test yourself on problems you haven't memorized.

Heads up

Exam rules (syllabus): closed book, closed notes, standard calculator (TI-84 or similar), in person, bring your ASU ID and a laptop with LockDown Browser. "Unauthorized notes or devices" = cheating, and the penalty is an XE. Don't bring stored notes or programs on your calculator.

Textbook is optional. The syllabus says exam content comes from lectures and is built around the study guide. That's what this tool covers.

You get the formula sheet on the exam. Learn when to use each formula, not the formula itself.

Units. Match λ and μ (both per hour or both per minute). Answers usually want minutes.

Don't round averages mid-problem (the prof's key says this too).

Lecture sources in here: all text from Lectures 10–14 (Waiting Lines, Push-Pull, Global SCM, Reverse Logistics, Finance for SCM), plus the picture-only slides (Gymshark CCC, Boeing income statement, inventory turns, 5 Rs funnel, ILWU pay).

Not in here yet: the Nov 1 practice-lab Zoom recording (needs the passcode from the announcement) and the Sustainable SC lecture (its Canvas page is empty). Watch at 2x if you have time.
